Understanding Colour Depth
Colour depth is the gradation of a natural hair colour by lightness. It ranges from 1 to 10, with 10 being the lightest and 1 being the darkest.
Before picking a shade, always assess the client's natural eyebrow or lash colour first — this is the foundation for every decision below.

Shade-by-Shade Guide
#1 Deep Black
The classic colour for eyelash tinting. Used pure, it delivers an extremely intense result on lashes. In mixes, it darkens shades or pushes them cooler for eyebrow tinting.
#2 Graphite
Used pure, gives a cool dark blonde shade; in mixes, creates a cooler undertone. Perfect for tinting the eyebrows of blondes (ash or pearl blonde) or raven-haired clients.
#3 Blue Black
The deepest, most intense shade in the range — ideal for eyelash tinting when a client wants something beyond regular black. Also helps neutralise yellowness.
#4 Chestnut
A delicate, cool light blonde shade. Ideal for tinting eyebrows on light blonde and medium blonde types.
#4.1 Red Chestnut
Used pure, delivers a deep fiery-red shade on fair or bleached eyebrows and lashes — perfect for clients with ginger, red, or mahogany hair. On dark hair, it adds a delicate red tint that emphasises the face and adds depth. In mixes, it corrects unwanted tones, deepens colour, and creates vibrant combinations.
#5 Light Brown
A warm, medium-intensity shade. Ideal for clients with red, medium blonde, or light blonde hair featuring straw, golden, or ash highlights.
#6 Brown
Used pure, a deep chocolate shade — well suited to dark blonde types.
#7 Dark Brown
The coolest shade in the entire Bronsun palette. Suited to tanned brunettes and dark brown-haired clients.
How to Choose the Right Shade
- Start with the client's natural eyebrow/lash colour and where it sits on the 1–10 depth scale.
- Match base and tone — cool bases (blue-green, green) neutralise warmth; warm bases (red-orange, yellow-red) add richness and depth.
- Decide pure vs. mix — pure shades deliver their truest character; mixing lets you fine-tune depth, warmth, or intensity for a fully custom result.
