Thuya - Permanent Gel (STEP 1)

The Thuya Permanent Gel (Step 1) is a professional-grade perming gel designed as the essential first step in brow lamination and lash lift treatments. Its specially formulated gel works by gently softening and opening the hair cuticle, allowing the brow or lash structure to be reshaped with precision and control. This controlled chemical action lets hairs become more flexible and ready for lifting or setting, helping create smooth, lifted and beautifully sculpted results that last. Ideal for all hair types, this Step 1 gel provides a dependable foundation for every lamination or lift service.

Ingredients

Formulated with active perming agents and conditioning components, Thuya Permanent Gel works to gently open the hair cuticle and soften the internal structure of the brow or lash hair. This controlled action allows hairs to be reshaped effectively while helping maintain flexibility and strength throughout the lifting or lamination process.

How To Use: Brow Lamination

Permanent Gel

Apply evenly through the hair from root to tip, leaving on for 10–15 minutes depending on hair thickness. Ensure full coverage, then cover with cling wrap. Check development after 5 minutes. Once processed, remove using a dry cotton pad before moving on to Step 2.

Processing Guide:

• Thin hair: 7–9 minutes
• Medium hair: 9–12 minutes
• Thick hair: Up to 15 minutes

Neutraliser Cream

Apply evenly over the hair for the same amount of time used for the Permanent Gel. Brush brows into your desired shape and cover with cling film. Remove all product using a damp cotton pad, then dry the brows with a clean, dry cotton round. At this stage, brows are ready for tinting/dyeing and waxing.

Regenerating Cream

Apply across the brows using a lip wand. Advise clients not to wash the area for 24 hours and to avoid hot water, steam rooms, and saunas. This cream also makes an excellent aftercare product to retail to clients.

How to Use: Lash Lift

Step 1 – Prep

Cleanse the eye area thoroughly using a gentle foam shampoo, then pat dry with a tissue. Apply adhesive to the eyelid as close to the lash line as possible, making sure it does not touch the lashes.

Step 2 – Shield Placement & Lash Setting

Gently stretch and curve the silicone pads to help them adapt better to the eyelids. Secure them onto the adhesive, pressing firmly and holding for about one minute until fully set.
Apply adhesive to the shield, then lift the lashes upward onto the pad. Carefully separate and align lashes in the same direction for optimal results.

Step 3 – Permanent Gel

Apply Permanent Gel (always discard the first drop of product). Spread evenly from the base to the mid-lengths of the lashes, leaving approximately 1 mm from the lash line. Cover with cling wrap and allow to process for **up to 15 minutes**, depending on hair thickness. Remove using a dry cotton swab.

Step 4 – Neutraliser Cream

Apply Neutraliser Cream in the same area—base to mid-lengths, again leaving about 1 mm from the lash line. Cover with cling wrap and process for the **same duration used for the Permanent Gel**. Remove with a dry cotton swab.

Step 5 – Tint

Place protector paper under the eye, ensuring the lower lashes rest on top. Mix the dye with the special dye solution in a 1:1 ratio (products by Thuya). Apply to the lashes and leave on for 15 minutes. After processing, remove excess with a dry cotton swab, then follow with a damp cotton pad until all tint is completely removed.

Step 6 – Lash Filler

To finish, apply Lash Filler BTX from root to tip using a micro brush. Leave on for 15 minutes, then remove any excess with a mascara wand.
