Step 1: Cleanse the Lash Line
Start by washing your client’s natural lashes with a gentle, oil-free lash cleanser. This removes all traces of makeup, oils, and dust, giving you a clean base for better glue bonding and long-lasting retention.
Step 2: Hold Down Lower Lashes
Apply Posh Deluxe Eye Pads beneath the eyes to hold down the bottom lashes. If needed, use lash tape to secure any lashes that might shift during the service for a cleaner, more precise application.
Step 3: Prime the Natural Lashes
Use Wrap Perfecto to prep the lashes. This product balances the pH and removes any leftover residue, helping your adhesive work more effectively. Let the lashes dry fully before starting your application.
Step 4: Prep Your Lash Strip with Boosters
Before making your fans, prep your D Curl Volume Lashes on the strip:
- Glue Control about 1mm up from the base of the extensions. This prevents adhesive from wicking up and closing your fans.
- Adhesive Booster at the base of the extensions to speed up drying time.
Allow both boosters to settle for a few seconds before fanning.
Step 5: Isolate and Apply Volume Fans
Using your isolation tweezers, isolate a single natural lash. Then, with your volume tweezers, pick up a fluffy fan of D Curl lashes, dip the base lightly into adhesive (grabbing a small microbead), and place it approximately 0.3–0.5 mm from the lash line—never touching the skin.
Step 6: Apply for a Dramatic, Open-Eye Look
Continue applying your D Curl fans across the lash line. D Curls offer a dramatic lift in the curl range, making them ideal for clients who want bold, open, and eye-catching results, especially effective for clients with naturally curled lashes.
Step 7: Check and Lock In Your Work
Inspect your set using a lash mirror to spot any gaps, stickies, or inconsistencies. After waiting 3 minutes, gently wash the lashes using Superbonder Shield. This final step cures the adhesive completely and helps maximize retention.
