Step 1: Clean and Prep the Lashes
Begin by thoroughly cleansing your client’s natural lashes using an oil-free lash shampoo. This removes any leftover oils, makeup, or debris that could affect bonding. A clean lash base is essential for strong retention and a seamless set.
Step 2: Secure the Bottom Lashes
Apply Posh Deluxe Eye Pads under the eyes to comfortably cover and hold down the lower lashes. Add lash tape where necessary to keep any stray lashes in place throughout the service.
Step 3: Prime for Better Bonding
Apply Wrap Perfecto to the natural lashes to neutralize pH and remove any final traces of oil or dust. This step helps create the perfect base for strong adhesive attachment. Let the lashes fully dry before starting the next step.
Step 4: Boost Your Lash Strip
Prep your DD Curl Volume Lashes directly on the strip before fanning:
- Glue Control around 1mm above the base of the lash extensions. This acts as a barrier, stopping adhesive from running up and closing your fans.
- Adhesive Booster to the base of the lashes to speed up the drying process.
*Give both products a few seconds to settle before beginning fan work.
Step 5: Isolate and Attach Fans
Use isolation tweezers to separate one natural lash. With your volume tweezers, pick up a perfectly crafted DD Curl fan, lightly dip the base into your adhesive (make sure to grab a clean microbead), and place it 0.3–0.5 mm from the lash line, being careful not to touch the skin.
Step 6: Build a Bold, Striking Look
Continue placing the DD Curl fans across the lash line. Known for their extra dramatic curvature, DD Curls are perfect for clients who want maximum lift and a striking, eye-opening result. They’re especially flattering on clients with almond-shaped eyes.
Step 7: Double-Check and Cure
Once your set is complete, use a lash mirror to inspect for any stickies, gaps, or placement issues. After waiting 3 minutes, wash the lashes gently with Superbonder Shield to cure the adhesive completely and seal in retention.
